Workflow

Using Adobe Photoshop & Bridge CS5, allied to Adobe Lightroom 3, effectively can be a nightmare for new users swamped by technology overload. Knowing how to focus on the key elements for most everyday tasks, establishing effective workflow and colour management policies, can take far too long on your own.

Above is an example of retouching work done for BAe Systems.  We were required to incorporate new weapons systems, at that point not cleared for flight, from a photo of an 1/8th scale model onto an image of real Typhoon, shot by Geoff Lee, on the ground and then combine all the elements into an existing air-to-air photograph ~ the sort of bread and butter job that most users of Photoshop need to master. Similarly, adding colour (below) to old black and white images is another skill that can be hard to master from manuals alone. How was the Typhoon photo-composite done? Click on the image above for an abbreviated version. You will need Adobe Flash Player installed to view the slideshow - link at the bottom of the page.

With these hard-earned skills, allied to the latest Apple technology, I am able to offer in-house training on a one-to-one basis for an all-inclusive price of £300.00 per day. All food, refreshments and digital backup media are included in the price.

I also offer a modestly priced monitor colour calibration and profiling service to make sure that what you see on your computer screen is what really reproduces in print or on the web.
